GET TO KNOW US

Below is a little bit about the team behind SFT, how they joined us and what they do. If you would like to become part of the team or are interested in becoming a volunteer or guardian, please get in touch.

Sally.jpg

Salima Kadaoui

Salima (Sally) is our founder and SFT was her childhood dream. Born from a Moroccan father and British mother, she was raised in Tangier and grew up seeing the suffering of the strays on the streets, desperately needing help. In 2013 she returned to Tangier to turn her dream into a reality.

Sally's mission is for the humans and animals in Tangier to live in harmony. And for every animal to be shown the care and compassion they deserve.

She believes that the key to this is to educate the community and be an example for others to follow.

MUSTAPHA.jpg

MUSTAPHA

Mustapha is the manager of SFT, was our first team member and has been with us since the beginning.

As well as being wonderful with each and every animal at the sanctuary, he works incredibly hard, often giving up his day off.

He is an amazing young man, and since being with SFT has taught himself to speak English and gained his drivers license. He is extremely dedicated and resourceful, an incredible human being and a treasured member of our team. We would be lost without him.

Anissa.jpg

ANISSA

Anissa is Mustapha's aunt. She manages the 2 cat houses at SFT. Keeping the cats clean, fed and giving them all the love they deserve.

When her work with the cats is done, she often cooks lovely vegetarian meals for the team. Her name means 'friendly, a pious-hearted lady, good-natured, compatible and one who is friendly and gentle with others' – she is all of this and more, a wonderful member of our team.

MOAAD.jpg

MOAAD

Moaad is Mustapha's younger brother. As the number of rescued animals coming into the sanctuary increased, we realised we needed much more help. Moaad is a great team member, and undertakes a range of jobs at SFT –from feeding the donkeys to poop scoop duty. He is a great all around team member.

MOHAMMED.jpg

MOHAMMED

Mohammed lives in the city of Tangier, 23km away from the sanctuary.

He has always worked with animals, working at FOA – a small city animal shelter before joining SFT. But keen to get involved in helping even more animals, he applied to be part of our team.

He is a natural, and all the animals love him. He is a very hard worker, always ready to help and work extra hours if necessary.

SOULEIMAN.jpg

SOULEIMAN

Souleiman is a recent addition to our team. After visiting the sanctuary, it stole his heart and he instantly knew he wanted to work for SFT.

We have such a huge amount of animals and many needing extra care, and Souleiman is great with all of them.

Vet.jpg

Dr Lahrech

Dr Lahrech is an honorary member of SFT. He is a vet based in Tangier and works day and night to help the sanctuary.

From treating and neutering strays for our TNVT programme to attending to emergency cases at all hours.

We are so very lucky to have this man working with the sanctuary. We owe him a great deal.

Dani.jpg

DANI Thifa

Dani Thifa is responsible for managing Corporate and Foundation Sponsorships and Donations in Sweden, Spain and the UK. Together with Salima and her amazing team, Dani is working on creating partnerships with good-hearted sponsors and donators.

These partnerships will enable SFT to save even more lives, with the hope that one day the Sanctuary will become self sufficient.

If you would like to talk to Dani about Sponsorship opportunities you can email him here.

SFT needs you

We desperately need to hire at least 4 more people for our team, but unfortunately don't have the funds to pay them. If you or your company/organisation would like to sponsor a very modest salary, please get in touch.
